PMSA launches medical treatment and training program for coastal community

The Pakistan Maritime Safety Agency (PMSA) has launched a medical treatment/training and awareness program for the coastal community.

En route, a free ambulance service has been launched in Gwadar while two-day medical training camps are being held in coastal towns of Balochistan and Sindh, a press release said on Wednesday.

The medical camps would provide free medical treatment and first aid training, while a medical awareness campaign to raise awareness of health issues, especially viral diseases, is being conducted simultaneously to educate the local fishing community and facilitate their medical examination and provide life-saving medicines among the locals free of charge. community. Around 70 patients, including women and children, were examined and given free advice and medication.

The medical camp is specially designed after the recent rains and floods in the coastal areas to avoid secondary health issues. PMSA remains committed to the noble cause of serving the country’s coastal community in all situations.
