SRINAGAR: Apni party chairman Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari along with party leaders visited SMHS Hospital on Thursday to express their solidarity with the victim of the acid attack who was targeted a few years ago. days in Srinagar.

Altaf Bukhari met with the victim’s family members and secured all possible help, including financial support for advanced medical treatment across the country.

Speaking to the media here, he said: ‘We are here to express our uncompromising solidarity and support for the family.

Emphasizing the need to educate members of civil society to protect women’s interests, he said “it is our collective social responsibility to ensure that victim rehabilitation is not stigmatized and we all play a role in our abilities”.

Bukhari appreciated the role of the administration and the police department in providing the expensive drugs to the victim as needed and apprehending the culprits as soon as possible.

Demanding tough action against the perpetrators of this heinous crime, Bukhari said the Party will provide expert legal services to the family to ensure justice is served for the victim.

Praying for the speedy and full recovery of the victim, he expressed the hope that with prayers of good wishes and medical treatment from local doctors, the victim will recover soon.

Meanwhile, the Party leadership also expressed gratitude to the Srinagar Police for acting swiftly and arresting the attackers, while demanding effective and strong legal recourse against those involved.
